Knanaya Catholic Youth League of Germany (KCYL Germany) aka GKCYL is an undertaking of the Archdiocese of Kottayam as part of the Youth Mission for the Knanaya Catholic youth residing in Germany. The KCYL Germany aims to promote the spiritual, social, and cultural welfare of its members and the Knanaya Catholic community as a whole. It provides opportunities for young people to deepen their faith through prayer, worship, and religious education, as well as to engage in social activities and community service projects. The organisation sponsors a variety of sociocultural programs and events throughout the year across various cities for Germany.

The GKCYL has been formed on 02 June 2019 at Berlin, Germany with the advice and guidance of the Metropolitan Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakattu and auxiliary Bishop Mar Joseph Pandarasseril of the Archdiocese of Kottayam, Kerala, India.

A webinar on professional opportunities in Germany for students and working professionals was conducted on 13th December 2020. Around 300 participants from all over the has attended the event and hundreds of questions has been answered and discussed by the field experts during the event. The topics covered were "Expert advice on professional migration", "Guidelines for Student Visa", "Discussion on PR and Citizenship", "Personal Experiences of Students", and "Q&A Session".

Heimweh is the GKCYL program year inauguration (2021-2022) and youth day celebration. The program was conducted online and inaugurated by Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, Auxiliary Bishop of Kottayam Archdiocese. KCYL Archdiocesan Chaplain Fr. Nishad Vandankuzhiyil and KCYL Archdiocesan President Libin Jose Parayil were the main guests of the event. Cultural programs by the GKCYL members were streamed during the event.

DACH 2021, an online gathering that included an interactive session and a virtual Onam celebration, brought together young people from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on August 22. Auxiliary Bishop Mar Joseph Pandarasseril and Auxiliary Bishop Mar Gheevarghese Aphrem of the Kottayam Archdiocese were present.

REGENBOGEN is a seminar and online gathering for the Knanaya youngsters from 7 nations which includes Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, and Switzerland. The seminar was about the "Challenges faced by Knanaya youth in Europe" and was blessed by Auxiliary Bishop Mar Joseph Pandarassary of Kottayam Archdiocese and directed by Father Manoj Elithadam OSH.

Servus is the first European Knanaya Youth Meet organised by KCYL Germany. It was a 3 day event with participants from various European countries like Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Belgium. The event was hosted in Überlingen, Germany and was inaugurated by Metropolitan Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakattu of the Archdiocese of Kottayam. More than 100 participants has attended the event.

Agape is the GKCYL meetup and Southern Region Inauguration held on 4th September 2022, at Oedheim,Baden-Württemberg. The event was inaugurated by Mar Kurian Vayalunkal, Apostolic Nuncio of Algeria-Tunisia. Members and families from various units participated in the meetup.

Agape 2 is the GKCYL meetup and Northern Region Inauguration held on 29th December 2022, at Solingen, Cologne. The event was inaugurated by Mar Kurian Vayalunkal, Apostolic Nuncio of Algeria-Tunisia. Knanya Youth from various parts of Germany participated in the event.

THROWBACK is the celebration of 4th Anniversary of GKCYL after formation on 2nd June 2019. The event was held on 3 June 2023 at Berlin, Germany. Along with this event, the official website of KCYL Germany was inaugurated by Auxiliary Bishop Mar Joseph Pandarasseril of the Archdiocese of Kottayam via online video conferencing.

GKCYL has organised the Onam & St Pius X Feast day Celebration on 21st August 2023 at Thalfingen/Ulm. More than 130 people from various parts of Germany have attended the event. Around 8 Catholic Priests conducted the special Holy Mass in regards to the St Pius X Feast day. Various cultural events, games , competitions etc were held as part of the Onam celebration.
